Real Estate and You – What’s the Path to Success? Part 2 – Do’s and Don’ts

This is an “Add on” to “Real Estate and You – What’s the Path to Success Part 2”.

Do’s:

  • Get to know your market/neighborhood

  • Decide on your type of Business Model

  • Define your “Dream Client”

  • Choose your preferred market (type and style of homes, acreage etc)

  • Make Decisions regarding job responsibilities – admin, tech, marketing

  • Choose a Contact Management Program

  • Add your Sphere to Contact Management Program

Don’ts:

  • Bite off more than you can chew – i.e. don’t be seduced by every new tech gadget and toy – master the tools you have first

  • Neglect your sphere

  • Stop learning your market, your tools, contracts, offered training

  • Forget to update your contact management program regularly (after conversations/contacts etc)

  • Neglect to prospect for new business – all the tools/gadgets won’t help you become successful if you do not have clients

  • Practice your presentations – know what you’re talking about when you present a listing agreement etc – don’t fake it
