The social networking craze is accelerating – new sites are added constantly. Do you know which ones are the latest and greatest? The “must have’s” and “can’t live without’s”? And do you use them all?
I’m just wondering…. When do we reach the point, where having a “great thing/tool“, like a social networking site, becomes too much? Too much time wasted? Too much of a distration? Too much of putting in work and not getting results?
Keep in mind, that the definition of social networking is not “sign up everywhere” – it’s more geared toward the “be selective and get involved” – hence being social! If you sign up for every available network, how will you find the time to become involved in any of them?
I’d think maybe two or three networks could be manageable – to include commenting, following up, contacting people and building relationships. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Specially if you consider, that in addition to social networks, most of us probably write a blog (maybe a couple), update a website – and, oh ya – work!
