It’s The Little Things …

customer servicecustomer serviceI’m a firm believer that it’s the little things that count. Not just because they are - in most cases – little extras, but mainly because they show people/businesses care! And wouldn’t you rather work with a business/buy from/receive service from a business that cares and takes Customer Service seriously?

customer serviceI know I do. Here’s my latest example:

I went to one of the Beauty Salons here in Colorado Springs (Ok – so it’s Toni & Guy – credit where credit is due!), and they do an outstanding job. I don’t look like something weird just happened to me and I like the people there – but most of all – it’s the little things that keep me coming back.

One: There will always be an offer for a beverage. Coffee? Sugar? Cream? (My personal favorite) No problem. It’s not a guessing game – I KNOW I will be offered something to drink! Knowing that,  doesn’t make it any less appreciated!

Two: When you get your hair washed, you always get a mini-massage. It is the most relaxing thing out there! (You should try it.)

Three: You’re not just a number/sale there. It’s like an ongoing conversation – which just happens over a period of month, rather than minutes or hours.

Three seemingly little things – but aside from the great job they do – they keep me coming back. With all the ‘new’ marketing techniques – this tried and true favorite will get you great word of mouth any time!

What is your favorite “little thing” that keeps you loyal?
